Description

The name Luxor, pronounced in Arabic as (Al Uqsur), locates in the south of Egypt. It covers an area of 417 square km with population of about 520,000

It was the capital of ancient Egypt for more than 500 years, as (Waset) means the scepter. The glory of the city began more after its army under the king Kamos  who defeated the Hyksos (enemies from Asia Minor) so it became the political, military capital of Egypt. Its history started even deeper than 18th dynasty. The great king Montuhotep from the 11th dynasty reunited the two parts of Egypt. It owns almost 75% of Egypt’s monuments and even 30% of the whole world. There is no city has such a glory and history as Luxor. It was a place for pilgrimage and a dream place for the Greeks and Romans. It was the ancient future of arts, constructions, engineering and medicine. In it the bodies of the most famous kings had been embalmed.

It is definitely better for lots of people to feel more private, enjoy the trip without sharing anyone as a tailor made trip.

In the eastern bank you can decide to visit Karnak temple or Luxor temple. A boat trip in the Nile is very enjoyable to get to the other side of the River Nile.

Awesome Day Tour

We select this agency because of the recommendations and we were not disappointed. We select a one-day tour from Hurgada to Luxor and everything went very well: driver on time with a very safe behavior, clean vehicle, smooth organization with all the visits, lunch on the nile, many small attentions for us such as water and ice creams. Our guide for the day was absolutly wonderful and made us feel like home, thank you so much. Meeting you and your extraordinary knowledge was the highlight of our stay in Egypt. We strongly recommend to everybody to go through this agency !
