St. Shenouda cathedral locates in Down Town. it is the main Coptic church in the Rede Sea province. The church has been recently rebuilt. It appears to be very stylish from the outside. Inside there are two main Ailes to separate women from men. In addition, there is another church beneath this one to accommodate more visitors. The Church is well-painted with a large number of Icons. Like most Egyptian churches, the Altar is in the front. Tourists can visit the church on their own, but it is recommended to be on a guided tour to learn about the history. It is a bit different here in Egypt that we have two main religious days. They are Sunday and Friday. The Cathedral is open from the morning till the evening.
